The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mombasa County in partnership with the Capital Markets Authority hosted the Potential Issuers Forum on 31st August 2018 at Serena Beach Hotel and Spa.

The Capital Markets Industry has agreed to work together in a joint strategy to enhance product uptakes and listings at the NSE thus conducting such forums to encourage the Business Community list in the NSE, as well as address concerns around low listings and overall product uptake, a situation which could adversely affect key National Development goals as realization of the Kenya Vision 2030 aspirations. Under the Vision, the capital market has a key role of mobilizing savings through new products to finance big-ticket projects, especially infrastructure development.

Capital Markets Authority emphasized on the benefits of listing in the NSE, which include raising capital to finance growth, optimization of balance sheet through equity and debt financing and unlocking value for shareholders through enhanced liquidity from secondary trading.
