KNCCI Hosts High Commissioner of South Africa in Mombasa

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and industry, Mombasa County was pleased to host the High Commissioner of the South African Republic H.E Kaleka Mqulwana during her first official visit to the port city of Mombasa.

The visit aimed at building a strong mutual relation with South Africa and as a prerequisite a VSO center has been opened in Mombasa to ease the Visa Application Process for businessmen.

H.E Kaleka Mqulwana paid a courtesy call to Hon. Ali Hassan Joho, the Governor of Mombasa on her fist day of the official visit to Mombasa where the two agreed to activate the MOU signed between Mombasa County and the City of Durban in South Africa.

The High Commissioner later paid visits to the MIlly Glass Works Factory , East African Tea Trade Association , Southern Engineering Company , Oceans Seven Development, Milly Fruits Processors to encourage them to find ways of taking advantage of COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Free Trade Area to expand their businesses operations through Joint Ventures and partnerships with South African companies.

The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and industry Mr. James Mureu has been tasked with organizing a businessmen trade delegation to South Africa in April 2017 even as the discussions of forming a Joint business council and a Joint technical committed commence with all relevant stakeholders.
