India Celebrates it’s 69th Republic Day.
On Friday 26th January, The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and industry, Mombasa County joined the Assistant high Commissioner of India Mr. Sanjeev Khanduri and the Indian community in commemorating the 69th Republic day of India at the Nyali Beach Holiday resort.
The Republic day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January 1950 with a democratic government system, completing the country’s transition towards becoming an independent republic.
The Guest of Honor was the Mombasa County Governor Hon. Ali Hassan Joho, who commended the cordial relationship that Kenya has enjoyed with India for decades and reiterated on the importance of skill transfer, capacity building and also expansion of trade and investment in different sectors.
