BANGLADESH-KENYA BUSINESS FORUM AT ENGLISH POINT MARINA

Kenya has long established relations with Asian Countries which continue to be strengthened in tandem with Kenya’s quest to seek additional resources, investment and technology transfer to support its national agenda and increased market access to our products.

Kenya has underlined the importance of enhancing bilateral relations with Bangladesh by intensifying and diversifying cooperation in prospective areas.

Bangladesh has showed keen interest to export its quality products like ready made garments, pharmaceuticals, jute goods and leather items to Kenya and in return we hope as a country to export tea and pulses to Bangladesh.

Kenya aims to transform into a newly industrialized middle-income country providing a high-quality life to all its citizens by the year 2030. The Establishment of Special Economic Zones is Key to the achievement of this vision. Several Zones have been earmarked for development countrywide but I believe that the Mombasa Special Economic zones will offer a competitive advantage to investors due to its unique geographical location.
