Barclays Bank of Kenya has officially re-branded to ABSA Bank Plc following regulatory and shareholder agreement. The bank has been granted asset management license by CBK.
The official launch in Mombasa took place on Wed 26th 2020,at Fort Jesus followed by a Business Forum on Friday 28th at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort. The forum was attended by the Mombasa business community and KNCCI directors.
ABSA has come up with various enterprise development initiatives which contribute towards promoting a thriving SME sector that enable social and economic development of the Country. ABSA is now growing the mass market way through introduction of new products friendly to small businesses and households alike. Aping the model of several banks which discovered earlier that the numbers are indeed in the masses.
ABSA is opening possibilities through wezesha biashara trade finance by offering unsecured loans of up to 10 million and LPO financing of up to 12 million.
