The Mombasa branch was in-active, and often referred to as a ‘one-man-show’, organization offering minimal services to members. The business community lacked representation thus their issues were poorly addressed despite the presence of other BMO’s.
Since the elections in April 2012, KNCCI Mombasa County has been able to re-establish itself as a reputable institution capable of representing the business community. It has reclaimed its rightful place as the primary and vital connection between business and the county government.
It’s core mandate as a business membership organization is to continually demonstrate impact on public policy and decision-making to the benefit of businesses, across the county.
