Japanese Business Delegation Eyes Investment Opportunities in Mombasa.

A strong business delegation of about 64 Japanese companies eyeing to explore business opportunities in the proposed Mombasa Special Economic Zone was today hosted by the Managing Director of Kenya Ports Authority Mrs Catherine Mturi at Bandari Collage for a brief on the port expansion plan supported by JICA and the Japanese Government. The MD, KPA made a detailed presentation on the available investment opportunities presented by the port expansion in line with the port strategic plan and Vision 2030 while the Chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mombasa Chapter Mr. James N. Mureu made a presentation on why Mombasa remain the most attractive investment destination in Kenya. H.E. Toshitsugu Uesawa the Ambassador of Japan to Kenya and the Indian High Commissioner to Kenya Ms. Suchitra Durai, were also present in the meeting.
